Executive Director
Philip Page
Philip Page is from High Point, NC. Philip attended North Carolina A&T State University and received a MA from Elon University. He has been a longtime pencilist, photographer, music video director, cinematographer, and professional DJ/turntablelist. Philip is formally a Journalism and Mass Communication professor at North Carolina A&T and Professor of Film and Broadcasting at Saint Augustine University, where he recruits former students to work on creative projects.
For 24 years, Philip worked in some form of entertainment, from being a professional DJ/radio host & a marketing rep for IGA to writing and producing award-winning short films. Philip produced short films Genesis, The Rose Room, and Sobriety. These shorts have been featured on Fox Soul, winning best short film at the Raleigh Film and Arts Festival. Philip has now started East Market Films, a nonprofit that serves black filmmakers.


Dr. Freda Grant
Dr. Freda Grant is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Women and Gender Studies and English at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). Dr. Grant is also an Adjunct instructor with Second Chance Educational Alliance, where she teaches Sociology to students housed at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Connecticut.
Dr. Grant holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and Ethnic Studies as well as a master's degree in Women’s Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Public Policy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies from Union Institute and University. Her dissertation, "Words of Fire: Stories of Gender Entrapment Among Black Women Remanded to Connecticut's Family Violence Education Program explores the connection between racism, public policy, and the criminalization of Black women who experience Intimate Partner Violence.

Keith Holliday
Keith Holliday is known for his Supporting role Jamaal on the popular 2023 Horror film, The Angry Black Girl And Her Monster, which has been nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture. His TV credits include FX’s “Atlanta” and Disney + “Genius:MLK/X” as a co-star, civil rights activist Hosea Williams as well as several commercials. Before his break into TV, Keith had a successful stint as a professional athlete well as sharpening his skills as a martial artist and comedian.

Jewell found her niche in thriller/horror genres during her master's program, aiming to reshape the narrative for Black women in these genres.

Influenced by Jordan Peele, Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, and Issa Rae, Jewell aspires to educate, elevate, and inspire her community through her art as a director and screenwriter, emphasizing the importance of representation.
